I install the ESP library (added to board manager list).This cost me an hour to figure out and fix and yet I am still at the point where Arduino recognises the board, so I hope I can help anyone avoid this… These notes include my frustration with downloading the WeMos libary from the WeMos site (which worked immediately at my other non-updated Mac) but caused some severe trouble with Sierra. I am using my laptop today for the first time with the WeMos so need to start from scratch because I haven’t set up this machine for Arduino development yet. Today I start again with my WeMos D1 to check out its Mesh capabilities.
